Water Forum is a local agency with equal goals – provide reliable water supply through 2030 and preserve the Sacramento region’s lower American River.
Early in 2015, the Water Forum proposed new target water levels in the Folsom Lake Reservoir to help preserve water resources for fish and humans. The goal was to avoid ‘dead pool’ in Folsom Lake – the level where water is so low it is unusable.
This new proposal would ensure water for over 500,000 residents, agriculture, and landscaping, and maintain water temperatures and flow to preserve the life cycle of salmon and steelhead in the lower American River.
We took engineering concepts and relationships and built a quick to read and easy to understand piece for stakeholders, government, and the general public to sign onto this new project.
